Former Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is meeting with the New York Jets this weekend. The two sides make a unique pairing, as the Jets can get one step closer to being a Super Bowl team with Cook making an impact.

Ahead of his meeting with the team, Cook spoke highly of the Jets' new starting quarterback on Good Morning Football

“You always want to be around a great QB, you always want to be around somebody who you can pick his brain and learn from,” Cook said. “A-Rod is a four-time MVP. Just being around a guy like that, you can really learn a lot more and develop as a player.”

Cook stated that Rodgers can be credited for his interest in joining the Jets. For an offensive player, heading to New York would be appealing. They've got weapons in Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall when he's healthy again. Rodgers will be able to set up his playmakers for success, and Cook would play a big part in that offense.

For years, Cook has played in the same division as Rodgers. The two should know each other's games very well having watched each other on the sideline so much. They shared the NFC North for the last six seasons.

Guys looking to make an impact on a potential Super Bowl team are turning their heads toward New York, and Rodgers gives that team the appeal. The team had an incredibly strong defensive season that they're building off, too.

The Seminoles' all-time rushing leader is coming off his healthiest season in the NFL, and has made four straight Pro Bowl selections. If anything, he showed how he can play on a team looking for a Super Bowl, especially as he will be sharing snaps with Hall once healthy.
