Former FSU Football WR Keon Coleman Reveals Mindset on College Football Playoff Snub

Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman does not feel like throwing any more shade at the College Football Playoff committee.

After the Seminoles were snubbed a spot in the 2023 CFP, both fans and players were left extremely frustrated, especially considering FSU's unblemished 13-0 record.

Coleman spoke about that undefeated record at the NFL Combine when asked what he was most proud of during his time at Florida State.

“13-0, baby. Go 'Noles.”

Coleman was asked by a media member how he felt about not being selected for the playoff. He calmly said he didn’t feel like bashing the committee, and at the end of the day, going 13-0 was a great achievement. He did, however, have someone to blame for the 'Nole's absence in the playoff.

“It is what it is,” Coleman said. “You can’t really control that. That’s the committee. I have no bashing to do to them. But I do know some guys that went to Georgia, so I kinda blame them when I’m talking trash. I’m like ‘if Georgia would have won, we would have gotten in.’ Cause it’s hard to not put Bama in after they beat the No. 1 team in the most important game of that season, and Texas beat them. And we lost our quarterback, so they (the committee) tried to blame that on it - but, hey. It is what it is. 13-0 though, it’s alright.”

In a recent 2024 NFL Mock Draft from CBS Sports, Keon Coleman was projected to be selected with the last pick in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs.
