Former Georgia QB Jaden Rashada taking a visit to Western Kentucky

According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jaden Rashada is set to go on an official visit to Western Kentucky this weekend.

Jaden Rashada is the definition of a transfer portal baby in the world of NIL. His career started off wonky before he even got to college. He was a top 100 recruit coming out of college, committed to Miami, and then flipped weeks later to Florida because of a massive NIL package. Only for Florida to renege on the deal, leading to a lawsuit and Rashada ultimately ending up at Arizona State, where he appeared in three games before transferring to Georgia last offseason.

Jaden Rashada never really had a chance to play for the Bulldogs this past season. Even when Carson Beck went down with a season-ending injury in the SEC Championship, there were no questions about who would relieve him. Gunner Stockton finished the season as the Bulldogs starting quarterback, and he and Ryan Puglisi will compete for the job this offseason, with most expecting Stockton to win out.

It’s in Jaden Rashada’s best interest to transfer if he wants to play, but look for the Bulldogs to continue to add depth at the quarterback position when the spring transfer portal opens in a couple of weeks.
