Former Jackson State defensive back Tayvion Beasley has found a new home. After spending the past two seasons at San Diego State, he announced he'll be headed to BYU on Monday.
Beasley spend his true freshman season at JSU with Deion Sanders in 2022. He appeared in 11 games (two starts) with four tackles, two interecptions, 3 PDUs, and a fumble recovery. He had a key pick in the SWAC title game against Southern.
Beasley was recruited Sanders out of St. John Bosco High School (California). One of nine schools to offer him, including Oregon, Michigan, USC, and others. Like most players, the prestigious opportunity to play for Coach Prime is what landed him at Jackson State.
After JSU, Beasley followed Coach Prime to Colorado. However, he quickly exited for SDSU after a few months in Boulder. Beasley used a redshirt in 2023 and was a special teams contributor last year for the Aztecs.
Beasley will have two years of eligibility remaining at BYU.
