The Michigan Wolverines are parading through Ann Arbor this evening, boasting their newly won National Championship Trophies as screaming fans look on with joy. At the same time, a former Michigan football player — defensive back Andre Seldon Jr. — just found a new home in the Big 12 with the TCU Horned Frogs via the transfer portal.
Andre Seldon was a cornerback for Michigan football from 2020-2021, though he did not see much action for the Maize and Blue throughout those years. After the Wolverines’ Big Ten title-winning season in ’21, Seldon hit the transfer portal and found a new home with the New Mexico State Aggies.
Seldon, who was a two-time letterman and an Academic All-Big Ten selection with the Wolverines, announced his commitment on Saturday morning via social media. See his post below.

Of course, all Michigan fans may wince at the name TCU because of the 2022 College Football Playoff loss in the Fiesta Bowl — a game that the Wolverines narrowly dropped 51-45 in stunning fashion. Regardless, Michigan fans are undoubtedly far less bothered by that loss now that Michigan has won a National Title for the first time since 1997.
He may no longer be a Wolverine, but we wish the best of luck to Andre Seldon Jr. as he starts a new college football journey with TCU!
