Former Ohio State Receiver Injured in Deadly Accident

Julian Fleming, former Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State receiver, met with major misfortune Friday evening.

He was involved in an accident while riding his ATV with his girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, who died on the spot succumbed to her injuries.

According to a report by Mark Brennan of 247Sports, "The accident happened at 8:13 p.m. Friday in Columbia Township in Bradford County. Fleming was said to be driving the 2024 Yamaha ATV and his passenger, 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd, sustained fatal injuries. According to PSU sources, Boyd was Fleming's girlfriend."

According to the crash report, the ATV collided with a deer that suddenly jumped onto the road and Fleming and his girlfriend weren't wearing any safety gear while riding. 

Fleming joined Ohio State in 2020 and spent three years in the program. In December 2023, he entered the transfer portal and signed with the Penn State Nittany Lions

"I wanted to be close to home, I wanted to be close to my people, and I want to win a Big Ten championship with another team," Fleming cited as the reason for his exit.

After going undrafted in 2025, he was set to join the Green Bay Packers as a free agent, but the offer was withdrawn when Fleming failed the physical less than a week after agreeing to the deal due to injury concerns.

Fleming has since been released from the hospital, and the investigation is ongoing with more details to be revealed later. This is a major blow to fans and the college football community.
