Former Oklahoma CB Names New School

Former Oklahoma cornerback Jaden Davis is going home.

The Sooners’ graduate transfer came to OU from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and announced Monday that he would be finishing his career in South Florida with the Miami Hurricanes.

Davis opened the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons as the starter at corner for Oklahoma, but whether through injury or performance or stronger play by someone else, was unable to hold the job all year.

The 5-foot-10, 183-pound Davis finished his OU career with 134 total tackles. He played in 47 games, including 22 starts, and had 10 passes defensed and one interception.

He was a unanimous 4-star prospect by 247 Sports, Rivals and ESPN coming out of Aquinas, and was an Under Armour All-American as he was the 15th best corner in the nation by ESPN, No. 24 by Rivals and No. 39 by 247 Sports.

Davis chose OU over offers from Clemson, Florida, Penn State and others.

Now he’ll finish his college career in the ACC playing for his hometown ‘Canes.
