Former Penn State wide receiver picks up offer from Big Ten team

According to his social media pages today, Cristian Driver received an official offer to Minnesota. Driver continues to search for a home where he can see some immediate playing time. The Golden Gophers may be able to give him just that. Cristian Driver committed to the Penn State football team as a four-star defensive back prospect but then made a position change this offseason to wide receiver. Cristian Driver, son of former Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Donald Driver, looked to play the same position as his father.

The latest on potential Penn State transfer portal targets

It has been a serious challenge for Penn State to make their team a viable transfer destination this offseason. Andre Greene Jr. entered the transfer portal from UNC and visited the Nittany Lions a few weeks ago. But he has made his official commitment to Virginia.

Then, former Miami wide receiver Colbie Young who also made a visit to State College this month did not choose the Nittany Lions. Young made his commitment to Georgia today. Unfortunately, it seems Marques Hagans and James Franklin have their work cut out for them.
