Much of the hype and news surrounding the college football transfer portal has completely slowed down, but there are still a number of players in search of a new program to call home.
One player that was up for grabs was quarterback Gaston Moore, who had spent the past four seasons in a backup role for the Tennessee Volunteers, where he got a very limited amount of playing time.
On Tuesday, as reported by Rivals Pete Nakos, Moore made his decision and will be transferring to the South Florida Bulls to play under head coach Alex Golesh for his final year of eligibility.

In those four seasons with the Volunteers, he appeared in just 14 games, completing 26-of-44 passes for 273 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions and a 112.6 passing efficiency rating.
What's interesting about his time with Tennessee, though, is that Moore originally committed to the UCF Knights as a member of the 2020 class, but would follow Josh Heupel after he took the head coaching job in Knoxville in 2021.
His decision to leave even after Tennessee lost Nico Iamaleava via the portal as well doesn't come as much of a surprise, as he was never really considered to be the replacement, as that's a role that UCLA Bruins transfer Joey Aguilar is expected to fill.
Moore's decision to transfer to USF also comes on the same day that last year's main starter, Bryce Archie, signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds after being selected in the 14th round of the 2025 MLB draft, meaning playing time could be easier to come by.
