A former Texas A&M quarterback is taking his talents to West Virginia and committing to the WVU football program.

Jaylen Henderson announced his commitment to West Virginia on Saturday evening.

Henderson (6-foot-3, 220-pounds) shared his excitement for his next chapter as part of his post on social media.

“Blessed to find my new home! Excited to be a Mountaineer,” said Henderson.

Henderson, who entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2, appeared in five games in 2023. He completed 53-of-78 passes for 715 yards with 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He also added 104 yards and 2 scores on the ground.

Prior to the Aggies, Henderson spent two seasons at Fresno State and saw action in five games while completing 5-of-8 passes for 49 yards.
