Former USC Trojan And Son Of Hall Of Fame Wide Receiver Sets Sky-High Bar For NFL Success

USC Trojans wide receiver, Brenden Rice has some massive shoes to fill. While most players merely getting to the big leagues sets a new high for the family name, Rice still has about 20 years of work ahead of him. It seems he’s well aware of that fact based on comments he made to the LAFB Network’s Ian Van Roy at the Senior Bowl.

During a luncheon with the media, Rice was asked how he defined success and what shape he wanted his NFL journey to take. The star prospect’s response could not have been any more clear:

“Success is me in a gold jacket with a couple of Super Bowl rings.”

In other words, he wants to have a bust in Canton and multiple championships, just like his dear old dad. There could be multiple reasons he chose two rings instead of one. By setting the goal at a couple, he appears to be aiming to avoid any accusations of getting a Super Bowl by mere fluke.

Rice was asked for any information on the subject and declined to comment.
