Four Arkansas Razorbacks were selected to the preseason All-SEC teams on Friday. DB Jalen Catalon and C Ricky Stromberg both made first-team all-SEC. Catalon made All-SEC first team during the 2020 season. After getting hurt mid-way through the 2021 season, Catalon decided to comeback to Arkansas for his fourth year. In 2021, Stromberg made the AP’s All-SEC second team. Phil Steele has also rated Stromberg as a All-SEC first team selection coming into 2022.

Others who made the list include LB Bumper Pool. Last year, Pool was top ten in the country in total tackles. If Pool stays healthy, he’s likely to break the program record for total tackles. Pool was named to the All-SEC second team during the 2020 and 2021 season by the coaches.

Another player who showed up on the list is OL Brady Latham. Latham is projected to be a preseason All-SEC third team by the media. Latham started all thirteen games last season at left guard. He held a pass blocking grade of 81.7 throughout the season while playing 890 snaps. He was part of an Arkansas O-line that helped the Hogs lead the P5 in rushing last season.

While several Hogs players are getting some recognition from the media, some players were notably left off. First Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson did on appear on any of the lists. Jefferson held the seventh highest QB efficiency rating in the country last season. He accumulated over 2600 yard passing and 600 yards rushing. Also, Arkansas Razorbacks K Cam Little was left off the All-SEC teams, even after drilling 20 out of 24 kicks last season.
