Four-star OL sets commitment date with Texas in Top 3
Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Four-star offensive lineman, Nick Brooks has set his commitment date for Aug. 23.

The 6-foot-7 prospect will choose between Texas, USC and Georgia.

Brooks was previously committed to Iowa before de-committing in November of 2023.

The four-star is one of the largest offensive line prospects in the nation. He currently weighs in at 345 pounds, yet is still very mobile and agile for his stature. He fills out his frame well and his size does not seem to be a hindrance to his stamina.

Brooks is elite at exploding from his hips and uses his lower body strength as a base to shove defenders out of the way. Once he has his feet planted in pass protection, it is basically impossible to move him. On running plays, Brooks will regularly push his man five-to-ten yards downfield and completely eliminate him from the play. He is also a very lanky blocker. He boasts an impressive wingspan and uses it to his advantage. The power that he possesses in his arms allow him to throw defensive linemen around like ragdolls when he gets a full extension. He has good hand placement and seems to be very technically sound in terms of blocking.

The Georgia product would be a stellar pickup for the Longhorns.
