Fox Sports personality Emmanuel Acho is receiving backlash for the way he handled a sensitive subject earlier this week.
Last weekend, NFL prospect Kyren Lacy passed away in an apparent suicide. The former LSU wide receiver reportedly discharged a firearm into the ground during an argument. That led to a police chase that ended with Lacy crashing his vehicle and reportedly succumbing to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Well before this police chase occurred, Lacy was accused of causing a crash that killed a 78-year-old man. He was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle.
During an episode of FS1's "Speak," Acho and the rest of the crew talked about this devastating news involving Lacy.
Acho had this question for those watching "Speak" on FS1: "Why do y'all think it's so hard for young, black men to open up?"
Apparently, that question really bothered Acho's viewers. They believe he was trying to "race-bait" a tragedy.
"Omfg man he’s turning the show into his YouTube channel. This is a complete bs topic," one person replied.
Once again you guys separate yourselves. It can’t just be for all young men regardless of color. You guys separate yourselves more and more," another viewer said.

"How does this turn into race? Like what? Mental health affects anyone and everyone no matter what skin color you are. Stop separating it as if black men and women suffer from it worse than anyone skin color Acho," a third person commented.
"Emmanuel Acho is a a race-baiting joke," a fourth person declared.
Acho hasn't responded to any of the negative comments. His crew at "Speak" has already moved on from this topic.
"Speak" will return to FS1 this Monday, and whether fans like it or not, Acho will remain the host.
