Carter will join his brother and current Bulldogs wide receiver, Lawson Luckie, in Athens next fall. That is, of course, if Lawson doesn't forgo his senior season for the NFL draft.
The Luckie family legacy runs strong through Georgia football -- Carter and Lawson are the sons of former Bulldogs linebacker Mike Luckie and the nephews of former center Miles Luckie and former linebacker Dustin Luckie. Carter will be the fifth member of his immediate family to don the red and black
The 6-foot-5 and 270-pound defensive lineman from Norcross High School racked up 51 total tackles, including 28 solo tackles, two sacks, nine quarterback hurries, and two passes defensed, showcasing his disruptive presence on the defensive line.
Carter is ranked as the No. 39 defensive lineman and No. 318 overall prospect nationally in the 2026 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite. Rivals rates him as the No. 16 defensive end and No. 39 player in the state of Georgia.
It's too early to tell where Georgia will use Carter, but he is open to playing anywhere, which makes him that much better.
“I hope they see my versatility,” Carter Luckie said via Dawg Nation. “That I can play pretty much anywhere on the defensive line. I think that’s one of my strong suits. Just being able to do pretty much anything on the line.”
Georgia currently boasts the nation’s No. 6 recruiting class and has 11 players committed to their recruiting class of 2026:
