Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs have their eyes on four-star linebacker Nick Abrams, and after a big recruiting weekend, it looks like they might be one step closer to bringing him on board.

Abrams was one of a bunch of top recruits in Athens this past weekend for Georgia’s annual scavenger hunt, and he walked away with a really good feeling about Athens.

"Georgia is a place I can see myself thriving in," Abrams told On3

Earlier this month, Abrams cut his list of contending schools from five to four, with Georgia being one of them.

The other three schools Abrams is highly considering include the Michigan Wolverines, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Oregon Ducks.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker is set to visit all of his finalists before announcing his college decision on July 16. His official visit schedule includes Georgia (May 16–18), Michigan (June 6–8), and Alabama (June 13–15), before wrapping up with a cross-country trip to Oregon from June 20–22.

Abrams is rated as the No. 8 linebacker and the No. 165 overall prospect in the On3 rankings, which also list him as the No. 5 player in Maryland.
