The Georgia Bulldogs had their winning streak snapped by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Now they are dealing with what every program is dealing with at this time of the season, the transfer portal. Former five-star recruit QB Brock Vandagriff has announced that he plans to enter the transfer portal.

Vandagriff was a five-star recruit in the 2021 cycle. He still has two years of eligibility remaining. His decision to enter the portal might give a clue to what starting quarterback Carson Beck is thinking. Beck is draft-eligible but could also come back to college. Vandagriff definitely wants to start so his decision to enter the portal might mean Beck is coming back for another year. In his limited playing time, Vandagriff completed 12 of his 18 pass attempts for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns.
For some teams, the transfer portal is concerning. Look at what is happening at Ohio State right now! This is only the second Georgia player to enter the portal and Kirby Smart and his staff have plenty of replenishment coming. Not only do they have top recruiting classes, but they also will have a hand in the transfer portal. It always stinks to lose a player from a program but in the current college football landscape, it makes sense and it is something all programs will have to deal with.
Georgia will be hungry in 2024 to get back to the College Football Playoff. They now prepare for their matchup with Florida State.
