One of the biggest reasons that the Georgia Bulldogs have solidified themselves as a team that's consistently competing for a national championship is their ability to land talented players.
A good chunk of that comes in the form of high school recruits, and it's clear that head coach Kirby Smart is constantly looking into the future for players who may not even be able to hit campus for several years.
One name they're making a push for is class of 2027 EDGE LaDamion Guyton, with Steve Wiltfong of On3 reporting that the Bulldogs "remain the program setting the pace in this recruitment."
He would, of course, be huge for Georgia, as he's emerged as one of the most sought-after players in his class, as On3 Industry Rankings place him as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 player in the nation.
In his two seasons for the Savannah Christian Raiders, Guyton has been amazing, playing in 20 games and racking up 134 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
Georgia and Smart aren't the only ones trying to land his commitment, though, as he's also received offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, South Carolina, LSU and Florida
His addition would be especially important for the Bulldogs to continue their impressive run of putting together amazing recruiting classes, as their 2025 group ranks No. 2 in the nation, while their 2026 class is No. 6.
Georgia may need to shell out some money for him, though, because offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 recruit in 2026, reportedly received an NIL deal from the Miami Hurricanes, "around the $2 million mark, per On3's Pete Nakos.
