Georgia safety Malaki Starks is the latest football player from the national championship team to make waves in the NIL space.

Starks recently inked NIL deals with Beats by Dre and Biosteel after earning FWAA Freshman All-American honors last season. As Starks’ marketing value continues to soar, he recently said that he also plans on bringing more value to Georgia’s defense as a sophomore next year.

“The difference between last spring and this spring is I’ve been through a year and I kind of know how the system works,” Starks said, via Dawg Nation. “I’m still learning each and every day, but I think I’m a little bit more hungry than I was last spring.”

“We are proud to announce that Malaki has agreed to terms with two new national partnerships in Beats by Dre and Biosteel,” Alexi Hecht, NIL executive director at ESM, said in a statement.

Hecht continued: “Our strategy is to add four of five strategic partners to the All American’s foundational partnership with Associated Credit Union. We prioritize brands that are intrinsic and organic to Malaki and share his passion for giving back. We are excited to share how these will be activated later this summer.”

Two-time All-American tight end Brock Bowers, who earned approximately $1 million through NIL last year, also has a deal in place with Associated Credit Union.

Last season, Starks came away with 69 total tackles, two interceptions, and seven passes defended. He will certainly play a vital role for Georgia during his sophomore campaign next year.
