Considering that the Georgia Bulldogs are consistently going after some of the nation's top recruits, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that they find themselves in some heated battles.
One of the most recent players they duked it out for came in the form of tight end Brayden Fogle, who was choosing between the Bulldogs, the LSU Tigers and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
In the end, Georgia came out on top, receiving Fogle's commitment on Friday and drawing a quick reaction from head coach Kirby Smart, who, not long after the news broke, said, "Go Dawgs !!" via an X post.

Receiving his commitment is a nice victory for the Bulldogs, as On3 Industry Rankings place him as a four-star recruit, the No. 10 tight end, the No. 7 player in Ohio and the No. 159 player in the nation.
Of course, adding a player of that caliber is exciting no matter what, but being able to keep him away from an SEC rival such as LSU just serves as a cherry on top of what has been an amazing offseason for Georgia.
Fogle becomes the second tight end Smart has added in the 2026 recruiting class, joining four-star Lincoln Keyes, who committed to the program back on Nov. 11.
In total, Georgia now has a total of 27 players in their 2026 class holding a score of 93.009, which ranks No. 1 in the SEC and No. 2 in the nation, just behind the USC Trojans at 93.124, per On3.
If things continue in this direction, this could become the Bulldogs' 10th straight top-five recruiting class.
