Giants Rookie Cam Skattebo Has Warning For NFL Players

Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo made a name for himself as a throwback bruiser at Arizona State and he's hoping to keep that reputation going in the National Football League.

While he isn't the biggest ballcarrier you'll ever see, the former Sun Devils star regularly set the tone for ASU's offense as a 5-foot-9, 219-pound battering ram that ran with a purpose.

And while he feels he has enough wiggle to elude NFL defenders, he admitted his brand is: "I more so hit people."

"It feels good when you get in the end zone, but imagine running someone over and then running another person over and then getting in the end zone," Skattebo said, via NBC's ProFootballTalk. "It's that much better."

"When you're physical it shows the work you put in, in the weight room, and how much you do to make your game better," the 23-year-old explained. "I've worked 18 years to get to this moment, I'm on an NFL team now and I still have more to prove. I'm excited to get to work and prove what I am."

Despite his hard-nosed running style and success at the college level, the ex three-star recruit says he's still out to prove himself against the world's best.

"How many snaps of the NFL have you seen me play? Zero, right? I've proved nothing," Skattebo told reporters at Giants rookie minicamp. "I've proved what I am in college, but I've proved nothing at this level. So now where I'm at, I have to prove myself, and if that's for five years or if that's for 10 years, I'm going to continue to prove myself."

It hasn't taken long for the fourth-round pick to endear himself to fans in East Rutherford. And hopefully this is just the beginning to a successful career in the Big Apple for the California native.
