Two of the best players in college football - and potentially, the top two picks in the next NFL Draft - happen to be teammates.

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders have each excelled at Colorado this season, and they're big reasons why the Buffaloes have won nine games this year.

The second year of Deion Sanders' head coaching tenure has been about silencing doubters and proving that they belong, and the Buffaloes did so in a major way in 2024.

Sanders and his team are set to finish the season in style, as they'll be heading to their first bowl game in his head coaching tenure. Sanders has said that his players will play in their bowl game, regardless of their plans or status for the next NFL Draft.

That means that Colorado's bowl game will be the final chance to see Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter at the college level.

According to The Athletic's Scott Dochterman, the Buffaloes are currently projected to play in the Alamo Bowl against a fellow Big 12 opponent in BYU.

As one of the non-CFP teams from the Big 12, Colorado will go to one of the top bowl games that the conference is tied to.

With the Cotton and Sugar Bowls now belonging to the College Football Playoff, that means the Pop Tart and Alamo Bowls are the most prestigious games with Big 12 ties.

Playing in Texas would be a homecoming for Sanders, who grew up in the suburbs of Dallas and played high school football while being coached by his Pro Football Hall of Fame father.

Colorado's bowl game could be the final time Sanders gets to coach his son, as Shedeur is expected to be taken with one of the top picks in the NFL Draft next April. There have been rumors that Sanders could be swayed to take or consider certain NFL jobs, but he's given no official indication that he has any intention to leave Colorado.

We'll see where Colorado and the rest of the bowl eligible teams end up on Sunday when the official bowl matchups are revealed, but it's clear that Hunter and Sanders will be two players that fans are excited to watch during bowl season this year.
