Auburn football fans have reason to be excited as head coach Hugh Freeze shared high praise for transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold during a recent appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show

Speaking after Auburn’s annual A-Day game last Saturday, Freeze expressed supreme confidence in Arnold, stating, “Jackson has all the tools to be one of the top quarterbacks in the nation.”

This bold statement has sparked optimism among Tigers supporters eager for a turnaround in the 2025 season.

Arnold, a former five-star recruit who transferred from the Oklahoma Sooners, is expected to lead the Tigers' revamped quarterback room.

After a challenging 2024 season with the Sooners, where he showed flashes of brilliance, Arnold is now poised for a fresh start.

Freeze highlighted Arnold’s fit within the Tigers' system, noting his arm talent, legs, and football IQ as key strengths.

The Tigers’ coaching staff believes Arnold can elevate the team’s offense, especially with a talented group of young receivers like Cam Coleman and transfer Eric Singleton Jr.

Auburn’s A-Day game also showcased freshman QB Deuce Knight, though transfer QB Jackson Arnold sat out with a minor hamstring injury.

With Freeze’s endorsement and a promising supporting cast, Arnold could be the key to the Auburn football's resurgence in the SEC.

The Tigers begin their season with a week one clash against the Baylor Bears followed by two home games against Ball State and South Alabama.

With the Tigers having an extremely manageable schedule in the first half of the season, look for Freeze to get Arnold and the program off to a hot start.
