New Miami Hurricanes signal-caller Carson Beck is ranked among the Top 100 players in college football for 2025, according to Thomas Goldkamp of On3. Beck, a $4 million transfer from the Georgia Bulldogs, appears on the list in the No. 25 spot.

In 2024, Beck passed for over 3,400 yards, 28 TDs and 12 INTs. He completed 65 percent of his passes. Beck threw nine of his 12 INTs against Alabama (a loss), Texas and Florida. But, over the final four games he played in, his touchdown-to-interception ratio was 11/0.

Beck was hurt against Texas in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game and his 2024 season came to an end. After having elbow surgery on his throwing arm, Beck was lured away from the Bulldogs to sunny South Florida and The U.

As the penciled-in QB1 starter for the Hurricanes and replacement for No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Ward, Beck did not throw one pass during spring practice. Recently, however, Beck has begun throwing footballs again and will have the summer and fall camp to get in "shape."

The Hurricanes have bolstered their roster with talented signees and transfers, but it is Beck who will lead Miami to glory this season. Beck’s sustained good health is critical for Miami’s success this upcoming season.

As the 25th-best player in college football, Beck has the talent. The 12 INTs were a concern and but if he can reduce the mistakes, Miami could contend for the Atlantic Coast Conference title and a berth in the college football playoff.
