Friday’s week two game for the Indiana football program was a night that allowed for multiple standout performances and plays. But, none were better than from wide receiver Cam Camper.

With 4:09 left in the first quarter and the Hoosiers just across midfield, quarterback Tayven Jackson dropped back for a pass and connected with Camper for a 21-yard completion.

The result, however, was thanks in part to Camper going to full extension and giving up his body to make the catch. Because of it, Camper showed up on SportsCenter’s Top 10 at No. 2 for Friday’s top plays.

Unfortunately inside of a minute left in the first half, Camper would leave due to what appeared to be a lower body injury. He was walking gingerly on the sidelines and visibly frustrated. He did not return in the second half. Camper finished with three receptions for 37 yards.

Indiana football head coach Tom Allen did not provide any update on Camper’s status and said he would leave it until the Big Ten’s pregame availability report to provide any update(s) on the star wideout.

In two games in 2023, Camper has totaled six receptions for 72 yards.

Camper spent all offseason recovering from a torn ACL he suffered against Rutgers in week eight last season.

Last season, Camper was phenomenal before his injury. He finished with 46 catches for 569 yards an two touchdowns in seven games.
