The Indiana Hoosiers lost a fumble on Saturday during their game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. That in itself is not immensely noteworthy, but the circumstances surrounding the turnover certainly are.
Hoosiers wide receiver Davion Chandler lost the ball on a reception less than a minute into the second half of the team’s crucial game against the Buckeyes at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, In. That marked their first lost fumble in 1,437 plays from scrimmage, a streak dating back to their 2025 season opener.

Needless to say, that was the longest active streak without a lost fumble in the sport. Just to rub it in, they managed to lose a second fumble later in the second half to break the streak again.
The Hoosiers wound up losing 19-15, and the fumbles played a significant role in the final score.
