As they have done virtually all season, Fernando Mendoza and the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers dominated their opponent over the weekend.

The Hoosiers throttled Wisconsin 31-7, moving to 11-0 for the first time in program history. Mendoza had a near-perfect day, completing 22-of-24 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns and marking his fifth game this season with at least four touchdown passes and no interceptions. The Cal transfer has thrown for 2,641 yards and 30 touchdowns, while also rushing for five more scores. His strong showing this year has not only him in discussions to be the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft but also has him up for major awards.

Mendoza was already named a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Award, but the Hoosiers are also making a push for him to be the program's first-ever Heisman Trophy winner. As shared on X by the program, they have launched a Heisman campaign for the former two-star recruit from Miami on LinkedIn.

"To celebrate & communicate his achievements, we are proud to announce the launch of the official #HeisMendoza LinkedIn," wrote the Hoosiers on X. "We hope you take the time to enjoy."

The oddsmakers at FanDuel currently have Mendoza as the slight favorite (+100) over Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin (+200).

The Hoosiers are on a bye this week, but will look to finish the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record next week against in-state rivals, Purdue.
