Alabama football defeated Florida State to improve to 3-0.

Here are some initial takeaways from the win:

– Game-Sealing Drive Was Very Impressive

Alabama closed the game like a dominant team on both sides of the ball. The last scoring drive where Trae’shawn Brown scored was highly impressive and the defense was able to seal things up.

– Alabama Has A Slow Start Problem

Alabama football was able to shake off a slow start once again this week, but it has now become a trend for the Crimson Tide. The Tide is struggling to get off to fast starts in games on offense. This slow start showed up on both the offensive and defensive sides of the football for the Tide in this one.

– Growth Through Growing Pains Continue For Keelon Russell

Keelon Russell is getting better week by week, and he showed how dangerous he can be against the Seminoles with his arm and feet. He made some impressive throws once he got in rhythm and took off for a 57-yard touchdown run. This is what his upside looks like.

– Veteran Secondary Has Leaks In Coverage

Alabama football has a veteran secondary, and this unit is expected to be one of the best in the country, but there are leaks in the back end of this Crimson Tide defense. East Carolina showed a glimpse of this. Florida State fully exposed this flaw. This unit will have to play better to live up to some high expectations.

– Cederian Morgan Will Get More Playing Time

Cederian Morgan flashed what he is able to do at wide receiver in some of his first meaningful playing action. He pulled in his first receiving touchdown against the Seminoles, and it is highly likely everyone will see more of him moving forward.
