Auburn defeated Georgia 27-24 in Athens
Here are some initial takeaways from the game:
When Auburn football's defense and offense were rolling in tandem, the Tigers looked to have complete control of this one against the No. 1 team in the country on the road.
Byrum Brown was leaned on to the variety of things against the Georgia Bulldogs. He was effective at throwing the football and running with it for a good portion of the game, and the Tigers benefitted from it in a massive way.
Auburn won the turnover battle in this one, and that is a state that will always benefit whoever comes out on top of it.
Missed tackles had been a problem for the Tigers most of the season. However, this was not the case against teh Vols as some good open field tackles benefitted Auburn several times in this one.
Auburn did not abandon the run game late. The Tigers stayed committed to it down the stretch more than they had did previously this season.
