Isaiah Bond training with a former NFL wide receiver to prepare for sophomore year
Andrew Wevers-USA TODAY Sports

Alabama football has several players putting in work this offseason to be ready for the fall.

Isaiah Bond, a sophomore, is preparing to captivate everyone’s attention.

The native Georgian had a good freshman campaign with 17 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown. His first career score came on a 6-yard catch from Bryce Young versus Kansas State in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La. Bond, a former four-star in the 2022 signing class, can burn defensive backs as a deep threat, vertical playmaker at the wide receiver position.

He was in South Florida training with Yo Murphy and a few Alabama teammates, including Jalen Milroe. Now, Bond is working with a former first-round NFL Draft pick. Tavon Austin, a University of West Virginia alum, was one of the best receivers in college football. He became a two-time 1,000+ yard receiver and an electric kick return specialist. Austin got selected at No. 8 overall in the 2013 draft. He played for six teams in ten years (2013-22), starting with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams.

Austin had 2,239 career receiving yards, 1,361 career rushing yards, and 1,934 career kick return yards. He totaled 29 touchdowns during his playing tenure. As a free agent, Austin is training Bond to become the next superstar in college football.

Alabama fans are excited to watch him in the fall.
