TCU Horned Frogs star wide receiver Jack Bech had just finished the best collegiate season of his career two months ago when tragedy struck his family.
The heartbreaking event occurred on Bourbon Street in New Orleans during the College Football Playoff, where Bech's older brother, Tiger Bech, tragically lost his life in a violent attack on New Year's Eve.
Months later, After catching the game-winning touchdown at the Senior Bowl and being named MVP, Bech is set to compete at the NFL combine on Saturday when wide receivers take the field. Ahead of the combine, Bech shared a heartfelt message about his late brother, which was posted by the NFL on Friday.
"He was just my role model," Jack said. "Whenever I grew up, I always wanted to be better than him in everything he did. Your big brother pulls out of you and sees what you can't see in yourself quite yet, and that was always him for me. Just pushing me to the edge, making me grow, get stronger, and helping me be the best version of myself. So, I'm forever indebted to him and everything he's done for me. His wings will hold me forever now, so I’m a two-for-one deal now."

Jack Bech spent his first two seasons of his college career at LSU before transferring to TCU as a junior. However, it wasn't until last season where he truly saw his emergence as a wide receiver.
He hauled in 62 receptions for 1,034 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, while averaging 16.7 yards per receptions and an impressive 86.2 yards per game over the course of 12 games. He is currently projected to be a third or fourth round pick in the NFL draft and carry his brother's legacy along with him.
