Among the 2025 NFL draft prospects, few have as much upside as former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe.
While his inconsistencies with throwing accuracy are a concern, his electrifying athleticism is certainly one to watch at the professional level.
With the NFL Scouting Combine just days away in the heart of Indianapolis, Milroe is expected to take the field and showcase his arm talent to NFL teams and scouts, demonstrating how his skills could translate in the pros.
Currently, Milroe will join fellow quarterbacks, including Ole Miss's Jaxson Dart and Notre Dame's Riley Leonard, in an attempt to boost their draft stock with impressive throwing sessions at the Combine.
Meanwhile, top quarterbacks like Miami's Cam Ward are still uncertain about throwing this weekend, while Colorado's Shedeur Sanders is expected to participate only in the interview portion of the Combine, opting to showcase his arm strength at his respective Pro Day instead.
During his college days at Tuscaloosa, Milroe showed promising flashes of being a dual-threat nightmare for opposing defenses in the NFL. In 2024, the Alabama field general completed nearly 65% of his pass attempts while throwing for more than 2,800 passing yards. Notably, the damage inflicted on his legs has drawn comparisons to Lamar Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP and former Heisman winner at Louisville. Of course, this is high praise, but that is the projected ceiling for a quarterback like Milroe.
Simply put, the time has come for Milroe to raise his draft stock among NFL circles. Will he rise to the occasion? This weekend will answer many questions.
