Since the spring, Alabama’s matchup with Texas A&M has been one of the more anticipated games of the college season.

Much of the outside intrigue is owed to the feud between Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher, but inside the Crimson Tide’s locker room, last season’s result against the Aggies is motivation enough.

Around this time in 2021, Texas A&M upset Alabama 41-38 as Fisher became the first former Saban assistant to beat the head coach.

This Saturday, members of the Crimson Tide are eager for a different result and defensive lineman Jamil Burroughs isn’t hiding his excitement as he shared on social media.

Burroughs is a member of the defensive front who may need to step up as the unit takes a bit of a midseason hit.

Byron Young is playing through a sprained ankle suffered against Vanderbilt and Justin Eboigbe is sidelines for an indefinite amount of time due to a neck injury.

The depth will be needed now more than ever as Alabama enters a rigorous conference schedule.
