Jaxson Dart's Ole Miss GPA Grabs Attention Before 2025 NFL Draft

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is widely considered one of the top quarterback options in the 2025 NFL draft, which is set to begin with Round 1 on Thursday night.

Dart began his collegiate career as a five-star recruit for the USC Trojans before transferring to Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels before the 2022 college football season. In 2024, he finished the year with an SEC-leading 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions on 69.3% passing.

In addition to this solid play on the field in Oxford, Dart also impressed in the classroom.

Dart graduated from the University of Mississippi with a 3.71 GPA as a general business major. He was named to the Chancellor's and Dean's Honor Rolls twice each, and made appearances on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the SEC Honor Roll.

Dart was honored as one of 16 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athletes this past December.

Dart gaining steam as a potential first-round draft pick on Thursday night. The 21-year-old quarterback prospect is considered a top QB option alongside the likes of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders.

Some draft predictions have Dart going as high as No. 3 overall to the New York Giants.

“I never saw my future or anything else playing out any differently than what it has," Dart said in a pre-draft interview. "So, I’m excited to embark on this next journey and this next phase of life. I have a great corner around me, family keeps me super grounded and we’re just super down to earth people.”

The 2025 NFL draft will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
