CINCINNATI — Jerome ford is staying in the Buckeye State. The Cleveland Browns selected the Bearcat in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 156th pick.

Ford set the Bearcats' single-season record for all-purpose touchdowns this past season. He sets the record as the seventh Bearcat selected in the program's most decorated NFL Draft class.

The former Bearcat figures to be in the mix for spot carries and special teams snaps to start his NFL career in Cleveland. He is the second-straight UC running back drafted alongside Gerrid Doaks last year and is the highest-draft Bearcats running back since Isaiah Pead in 2012. 

Ford joins former UC teammate James Hudson III on the Browns roster.
