Jordon Hudson doesn’t seem to be a fan of the recent comments from Cleveland Browns writer Mary Kay Kalbot on Bill Belichick. Hudson recently retweeted a post from a random account calling out the Cleveland Plain Dealer beat writer for her recent joke about Belichick at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday.
Cabot began by talking about how Belichick was the first coach she covered in her career with the paper, and how he was always a tough critic. At the end of that story, she delivered a one-liner that seemed to make reference to the age gap between Belichick, 73, and Hudson, 24. It drew raucous laughter and applause from the crowd.
“But now, I totally understand why Bill gave me such a hard time,” she said. “I was 28 at the time, and he just couldn’t relate to a woman that old.”
Hudson apprently didn’t like that. The evidence was clear when she retweeted a post from an account that didn’t seem to find the quip from Cabot funny.
“Not much of a ‘laugh,'” the post read. “No wonder so many have contempt for the media, especially those who want to be the story rather than (report) on the story.”
The relationship between Belichick and Hudson made a lot of headlines this offseason with the coach accepting the job at North Carolina. It will mark the first time he has coached college football after more than four decades in the NFL, including winning six Super Bowls as the head coach of the New England Patriots.
Cabot isn’t the first person to make a joke on the age gap between Belichick and Hudson. Comedian Shane Gillis also had a few jabs during his monologue at the ESPYs, while Saturday Night Live even mentioned it in a segment.
Regardless, Belichick looks to lead the Tar Heels to a better finish than their 6-7 finish in 2024. He’ll make his debut as a college coach when UNC kicks off this season against TCU on Sept. 1.
Jordon Hudson threw some apparent shade at Linda Holliday, the ex-partner of Bill Belichick. Of course, Hudson is currently with the North Carolina head coach in a personal and professional relationship.
The apparent beef between Hudson and Holliday allegedly spans back to a Christmas party in Nantucket. According to TMZ Sports, Holliday wanted Hudson and her beauty pageant friend Melissa Sapini to leave as she found their presence “inappropriate” due to her daughters being the featured DJs.
Hudson took to social media to congratulate Sapini on completing her pageant run with a crown. But in a lengthy post, Hudson appeared to refer to Holliday, as TMZ pointed out.
“I know you will keep shining,” Hudson wrote to Sapini on her Instagram page, “Metamorphosing and taking up space; even when others threaten you and insist that you don’t belong, e.g. the ‘Nantucket Socialites’ …”
