The Arizona State Sun Devils return 18 starters, led by wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, from a team that posted 11 wins and took the Big 12 title in 2024.
Now that running back Cam Skattebo has moved on to play pro ball with the Giants, Tyson could surely be more of a focus in the ASU offense this season.
In 2024, Tyson averaged 91 receiving yards per game, good enough for 12th in the FBS. He scored 10 TDs for an Arizona State offense that was ranked in the top 30 in college football.
Last season, Tyson earned all-conference honors as the Offensive Newcomer of the Year and is the leading returning receiver in the Big 12 this year.
A blessing this season for the Sun Devils is that Tyson is back from an injury that stopped him from participating in the postseason a year ago.
Another blessing is the chemistry Tyson has established with QB1 Sam Leavitt. The duo could be the deadliest QB/WR combination in college football this season.
With the culture that head coach Kenny Dillingham has created in Tempe, Tyson and Arizona State are ready to take college football by storm again in 2025. Another Big 12 championship and contending for a national title is not a desert mirage, but a reckoning.
