Jordyn Tyson Named Early WR1 for 2026 NFL Draft

Tyson has received this kind of attention for good reason, overcoming injuries and skepticism to reach his current status. His breakout season, along with those of Cam Skattebo and Sam Leavitt, helped propel ASU to its first college football playoff berth in program history last season.

Climbing the mountaintop is something Tyson has become well accustomed to throughout his college career, starting with a devastating knee injury cutting his freshman season at Colorado short. Tyson then transferred to ASU, where his injury kept him sidelined for most of his sophomore season.

Cut to 2024, where Tyson took the college football world by storm. He had a quiet start by his standards, averaging only 61.5 yards per game through the first half of the season. However, Tyson flipped a switch in the back half of the year, racking up an FBS-best 729 receiving yards over his final six games.

Unfortunately, it was time for another setback. Tyson went down with a collarbone injury in the final game of the regular season, a game in which he had already tallied eight catches for 143 yards and a touchdown.

Tyson's injury ultimately required surgery, forcing him to miss both the Big 12 Championship and the program’s first College Football Playoff game.

Still, Tyson’s capacity to endure and overcome adversity has never been in question. Fans saw it in his first two seasons, and should have no questions regarding his ability to do it again.

2025 marks a season where all eyes will be on Tyson. It’s his opportunity to solidify his status as one of the top wide receivers in the country and prove Arizona State’s success last season wasn’t a flash in the pan, but a sign of what’s to come.
