Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has made several trips to local high schools on the east coast over the past few days. He went down to Florida on Monday morning to visit Vero Beach linebacker Tarvos Alford. This comes just hours after the Vols landed Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre, the No. 3 quarterback in 2025 according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
He ranks as the No. 74 prospect in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports' Composite Rankings. Alford has extensive relationships with two schools in Florida: the home-state Gators and Miami. He has tripped to Gainesville, Florida, eight times throughout his recruitment and has been to Miami four times. He's also been to Ohio State twice as well, and it seems Tennessee is keeping tabs on him.

Tennessee has a lot of momentum right now on the recruiting trail and in the NCAA Transfer Portal. LSU Tigers offensive tackle Zalance Heard announced his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers - he was the No. 15 prospect in the 2023 signing class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. There's optimism heading into the 2024 season in Knoxville, Tennessee.
