Julian Lewis just put the finishing touches on one of the most decorated high school careers the state of Georgia has ever seen.
The five-star quarterback officially graduated from Carrollton High School this week, ending his run with a dominant 39-4 record across three seasons. In that span, Lewis threw for 11,010 yards — good for seventh all-time in Georgia history — and 144 touchdown passes, placing him fifth on the state’s all-time list.
He completed 75.6 percent of his passes in his final year, racking up 3,798 yards and 48 touchdowns while leading Carrollton to a 14-1 season and a GHSA 6A championship game appearance. His performances earned him back-to-back Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year honors, joining current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence as the only two-time winners.
Now, Lewis is headed to Colorado, where he’ll take over the starting job vacated by Shedeur Sanders, who was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL draft. It’s a big role playing under Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, and Lewis already appears ready to embrace it.
After walking the graduation stage, Lewis appeared in a video published to his YouTube channel confidently saying: “It’s onto the next!”
But it was his pose in the video that really stood out — Lewis pointed to his wrist in the same style made famous by Shedeur Sanders, a watch-flex celebration that became symbolic of Colorado’s swagger under Coach Prime. The message was loud and clear: Lewis isn’t just stepping in. He’s owning the spotlight.
As the star QB looks to take the Buffs to new heights under the command of Deion Sanders, one thing is certain. Colorado landed a gun-slinger in its QB room.
