Julian Lewis recently bid farewell to his hometown as he takes the next step in his illustrious football career.
The 17-year-old prep star reclassified from the 2026 class to the 2025 class and graduated early after three years at Carrollton High School in Georgia. A major leap to learn from Deion Sanders and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur in a pro-style set at Colorado. Before heading to Boulder, the former five-star reflected on his accomplishments.
Lewis posted an emotional video to his YouTube channel talking about his next steps.
Sanders was able to flip Lewis from USC. The Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year moves into a battle with Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter for the Buffaloes starting job. With Shedeur Sanders departing for the NFL, both QBs bring an uptempo approach to the game and will benefit from the pro experience on Sanders' staff.
Lewis exits Carrollton with over 11,000 career passing yards despite the reclassification and forgoing his senior season. He excels at throwing with pace and precision to the first and second levels. But also capable of connecting on some deep shots. One of his biggest stats was a total of 146 touchdowns over the past three years.
Now, Lewis is getting settled in Boulder and making an impact on the community. He felt the love during his recruiting visits with his name lit up on the marquee of the iconic Fox Theater, along with having a burger named after him at The Sink.
With all the swagger in the world and his early $1 million NIL valuation, 'JuJu' showed off his brand new Lamborghini Urus, which is reportedly valued at $300K. He hosted his first merchandise pop up at the historic St. Julien Hotel in Boulder before Colorado's spring game. One of his latest additions, beside the six-figure whip, was an iced-out Darth Vader chain on full display.
There's no doubt he'll be the next wave of 'Legendary' at Colorado. Lewis has adopted Shedeur Sanders' style on and off the field.
