Kansas State football continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, picking up a commitment from Garrick Dixon, a rising three-star defensive back out of Missouri.
Dixon, a 6-foot, 175-pound prospect, chose the Wildcats over offers from 14 different teams, including Iowa State, Cincinnati, Purdue, and more.

Dixon is ranked as the No. 119 cornerback in the Class of 2026 and the No. 17 player in Missouri, per 247Sports. Known for his aggressive coverage style and transition speed, Dixon projects as a boundary corner with nickel versatility at the next level. He’s clocked a 4.55 40-yard dash and posted a 36-inch vertical, measurables that align with K-State’s physical defensive back prototype.
The addition of Dixon to K-State’s recruiting class was a quick one, as the Missouri native earned MVP honors at camp in Manhattan on June 8th. He picked up a K-State offer shortly after, and just one week later, Garrick Dixon became a member of the Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting class.
With Dixon’s pledge, Kansas State now holds 11 commitments in the 2026 cycle, including four defensive players. The Wildcats continue to emphasize regional ties and defensive versatility, both hallmarks of Chris Klieman’s blueprint in Manhattan.
This goes down as a solid in-conference recruiting win for the Wildcats, who held off Iowa State, which was also aggressively pursuing Dixon.
K-State has quietly begun stacking key depth pieces on defense, and Dixon’s commitment marks another step toward maintaining Big 12 contention in the Avery Johnson era.
