Arizona State football is riding a wave of recognition, accolades and increased optimism after an 11-3 season in 2024. With that recognition comes high expectations.
Head coach Kenny Dillingham believes that if you temper those expectations and his players simply play to the best of their abilities every week, they can achieve even greater success. Dillingham was quoted on the Big 12 Today Podcast as saying,
“Our goal is not to win a national championship. Our goal is not to win the Big 12 championship…none of these things exist to me. To me, its just be the very best we can be.”--Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham
Going into his third season with the Sun Devils, Dillingham has built a culture within his football program, built on a foundation of selflessness, teamwork and a winning mindset. That culture has produced some amazing things outside of wins and losses.
The Sun Devils return their top two offensive weapons in Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson. Another significant factor is that there was no turnover on the coaching staff. No new schemes to learn or new coaching philosophies to adhere to.
All the above bodes well for the Sun Devils and their passionate fanbase as we approach the start of what should be a successful 2025 campaign for Arizona State.
