Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary is fifth in the SEC in passing yards
USA TODAY Sports

Kentucky quarterback Devin Leary is fifth in the SEC in passing yards, as he has thrown for 855 yards through three ball games.

That gives the Cats QB 285 yards per game through the air.

Leary is fifth behind Vanderbilt's AJ Swann (1,101 yards), LSU's Jayden Daniels (976 yards), South Carolina's Spencer Rattle (954 yards), and Texas A&M's Conner Weigman (909 yards).

Vanderbilt quarterback Swann has played four games instead of three like the rest of these QBs, so if you take that into consideration or look at yards per game, Leary is fourth in the SEC.

Drops from his receivers has also severely hurt Leary since guys like Dane Key and Barion Brown have dropped a few so far this season.

Through the first few games of the season, our prediction for Leary to be one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC looks solid as the Cats prepare to begin SEC play.
