Georgia Bulldogs senior tight end Oscar Delp had the option to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, but ultimately chose to return for one last ride in Athens.

Delp announced his decision with a special hype video back in January, captioned, 'Let’s get it.'"

With Delp back for one more season, Georgia appears to be in good hands at the tight end position, which was something head coach Kirby Smart emphasized during SEC Media Days.

“I’m excited about that room,” Smart told reporters at the event in Atlanta earlier this week. “Having Oscar back gives us something that not many teams have. He can physically block you at the point of attack. He’s stronger than most tight ends you play against. He’s a great play-action threat.”

Delp finished his junior year hauling in 21 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns.

His best game came during Georgia's 31-17 win over the Tennessee Volunteers, where he hauled in four receptions for 56 yards and two touchdowns.

Delp’s return was especially encouraging with Gunner Stockton expected to step in as the team's starting quarterback to replace Carson Beck. The two are roommates and have built a strong bond over the past two years.

“He’s an awesome roommate,” Delp said of Stockton ahead of the Sugar Bowl vs. Notre Dame. “Super clean. Brings good food to the house always. He’s a great guy. We just hang out in the living room, we all play games, hang out and have fun.”

Georgia's tight end room for the upcoming fall looks very promising, espescially with rising junior Lawson Luckie also returning. Luckie led all tight ends with 24 catches for 348 yards and three touchdowns last season.

Additionally, the Bulldogs have rising sophomore Jaden Reddell and incoming four-star freshmen Elyiss Williams and Ethan Barbour to look forward to in 2025.
