The latest 2026 college football recruiting class rankings dropped this week, and Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs are in a close hunt to secure the top spot.
Right now, Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans are at No. 1 with 32 commits, according to Riva'ls Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Bulldogs come in at No. 2 with 31 commits, with Marcus Freeman's Notre Dame trailing not too far behind at No. 3 with 27 commits.
Meanwhile, Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks land at No. 4 with just 17 commits, but they've been able to land four five-star recruits, which has kept them up there.
The Texas Longhorns come in at No. 5 with 21 commits so far.
Georgia should be at No. 1, but unfortunately, they've dropped the ball on a few big-time names this recruiting cycle and even had some change their mind. But regardless of whether or not they end up securing the top spot, the Bulldogs' 2026 class will be loaded with talent.
