KJ Lacey and the Three Most Important 2025 Texas Recruits

If you are a fan of the Texas Longhorns there is a lot to be excited about. Between Head Coach Steve Sarkisian, quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning and a move from the Big 12 to the SEC, the future looks bright. On top of that, their 2025 recruiting class aims to help lead the Longhorns back to national glory.

With Quinn Ewers leading the offense currently and Arch Manning set to be his successor, KJ Lacey aims to keep Texas winning after the current Longhorn quarterbacks. At 6’0” and 175 pounds, he's on the smaller side of quarterbacks, but that does not stop the four-star recruit. Lacey is a two-year varsity starter, with an additional two games played his freshman year. During that time he's tallied 83 passing touchdowns to only 13 interceptions, with nine more touchdowns on the ground. The signal-caller has thrown for more than 6800 yards at a 67.3% completion percentage.

Lacey is calm in the pocket and can extend plays with his legs. He trusts his arm to find his receivers and fit the ball into tight coverage. He has great arm strength for his size, allowing him to lead his receivers and throw on the run.

Holding over 30 offers, KJ Lacey chose the Longhorns over other power schools like Auburn, Alabama, and Colorado.
