The Utes are set to take on 18th-ranked Colorado in Boulder on November 16th, and Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham had nothing but positive things to say about the former Pac-12 member and their dual-threat superstar.
When asked to preview the matchup, Whittingham highlighted the incredible job Coach Prime has done with the program in such a short amount of time. He also highlighted the immeasurable impact quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter have on a game.
"Colorado has arguably one of the best players in college football in Travis Hunter... he'll be a challenge to contain," Whittingham said.
This season, Hunter has amassed 856 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 69 receptions while also racking up 20 total tackles (13 solo, seven assisted) with seven passes defended, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.
Hunter currently leads the 2024 Heisman Trophy Odds at +130 ahead of breakout running back Ashton Jeanty (+300) and veteran quarterback Dillon Gabriel (+330), and he'll have another opportunity to make his case as the best player in college football against a staunch Utah secondary.
