
Michigan and Ohio State will renew their rivalry later this month in Ann Arbor. For the second year in a row, oddsmakers are expecting a lopsided affair.
During the 2024 season, Ohio State came into "The Game" as a 20.5-point favorite. Despite having the home crowd on their side, the Buckeyes suffered a 13-10 loss to the Wolverines. The only thing more shocking than the score was the aftermath. The police in Columbus had to use pepper spray to break up a postgame skirmish at midfield.
This brawl at Ohio Stadium happened in large part because Michigan's players planted their school flag at midfield.
"I don't know all the details of it, but I know these guys are looking to put a flag on our field and our guys weren't going to let that happen," Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. "I'll find out exactly what happened. But this is our field and certainly we're embarrassed of the fact that we lost the game, but there's some prideful guys in this team that weren't going to just let that happen."
Michigan has won the past four meetings against Ohio State. If Sherrone Moore's squad wants to keep the winning streak alive, they'll need to be at their best against the No. 1 team in the country.
As of this Wednesday, FanDuel Sportsbook has Ohio State listed as a 13.5-point favorite over Michigan.
Ohio State has dismantled most of its opponents this season. In fact, it has won every game over the past two months by at least 18 points.
If Ohio State fails to take care of business against Michigan this year, fans will be awfully upset with Day and his coaching staff.
