Latest College Football Playoff rankings have new No. 1 team

There is finally a change at the top of the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

The Georgia Bulldogs, winners of each of the past two national championships, have taken over the top spot in this week's rankings and jumped over Ohio State for the No. 1 ranking.

The Buckeyes drop down to No. 2, while Michigan and Florida State maintain their holds on the No. 3 and 4 spots.

Here is a look at the complete rankings that were released on Tuesday night.

Washington (No. 5) and Oregon (No. 6) hold steady as the first two teams out.

Georgia delivered an emphatic 52-17 win over No. 9 Mississippi on Saturday, a performance that obviously stood out to the committee way more than Ohio State's 38-3 win over Michigan State.

That loss for Ole Miss dropped it down four spots from No. 9 to No. 13.

Penn State also fell out of the top 10 after losing another big game to a top-10 opponent, in this case Michigan.

Missouri made a big jump from No. 14 to No. 9 thanks to its dominant win over Tennessee, which fell from No. 13 all the way down to No. 18.

The committee has been pretty consistent over the first three weeks as to who the top six teams are, with the only change in that group coming this week when Georgia finally overtook Ohio State. The Bulldogs still have games against ranked opponents Tennessee and Alabama on its schedule (as well as a potential SEC Championship Game). Ohio State plays an unranked Minnesota team and No. 3 Michigan to finish its regular-season schedule.
